National Poetry Month
National Poetry Month in 2025 will take place from April 1–30. This month-long celebration honors the history of poetry in the United States and encourages the next generation to enjoy writing and reading poetry.
At Huron Public Library, we have three ways of celebrating!
1) Poetry Book Bundles | April 1-30
Pick up Poetry Book Bundle featuring a poetry book, free goodies, and more that celebrate this written art form. The book bundles are first come, first serve and as supplies last in the Adult Services Department upstairs. The book in the bundle MUST be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
2) Poem-A-Day | April 1-30
Each day in April, take home a free poem! Each day will feature a brand new poem. Pick them up at the Circulation Desk.
3) Open Poetry Reading | Monday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Bring a poem (or three!) or just come to listen. Refreshments will be provided.
